Senior Project/Quality Manager

Boston-Power, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project/Quality Manager to work in our Westborough, MA facility. Selected individual will be responsible for coordination and management of day-to-day activities for multiple advanced technology and product development projects, along with meeting the quality needs of the Westborough site.  This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting, dynamic, pre-IPO company delivering adaptive, scalable, energy storage platforms that meet the requirements of next-generation EV applications and the call for a more environmentally sustainable future.


  • Establish and lead a multi-functional project team involving members from a wide range of disciplines from Engineering, Marketing/Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Customer Service
  • Support ISO/TS16949 TUV audit preparation and execution

  • Monitor and coordinate activities for all project deliverables, ensuring on-time delivery, achievement of project goals and customer satisfaction
  • Manage definition of project requirements, costs, schedule and goals
  • Coordinate definition of resource needs and assignment of individual responsibilities cross functionally within the organization
  • Create and execute project work plans/timelines, revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements Identify and develop mitigation plans to minimize the risks/exposures on projects
  • Implement periodic project status reviews and life cycle management processes with management, users and/or customers. Report project status in timely and consistent fashion
  • Ensures project documentation is complete, current, and archived appropriately for internal reference and to meet appropriate quality standards.
  • Maintain continuous contact with all members of the project team as well as Boston-Power, Inc. management at middle and senior levels  

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science in an Engineering discipline; Master’s degree, MBA preferred
  • Seven (7) years minimum of combined engineering and project management experience required; Minimum five (5) of those years in a lead project management role
  • Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Demonstrated management of multi-disciplinary teams and experience with the development of team structures
  • Experience in conducting and documenting cross functional root cause / corrective action investigations
  • Experience with continuous improvement, Lean or similar advanced techniques.
  • Technically strong, with the ability to garner respect from a technical audience
  • Demonstrated collaborative experience, with the ability to quickly develop and manage both internal and external relationships and contacts
  • Advanced knowledge of project management principles, practices, methods and terminology
